Greetings from Nürburgring 24 Hours 2010

Greetings from a cold, foggy, murky, damp, Nürburgring on Thursday, May 13, 2010. Your reporting team consisting of Rupert Lloyd Thomas (words) and Colin Marsh (pictures) flew out on easyJet from London Gatwick at 07:10 this morning. We landed at Cologne airport and made our way to the track in a Ford Mondeo wagon rental car. We are now setting up shop in the press room while the cars are circulating in free practice on the famed Nordschleife circuit. Colin Marsh has gone in search of son Matthew Marsh, who will drive the #7 Aston Martin Rapide in the big race at the weekend. The race will start at 15:00 on Saturday and run round the clock until Sunday afternoon. Some 250 cars are entered for the race which presents motor racing on a grand scale. RLT.
