Audi and Porsche locked in combat

The race has been setting a scorching pace with the front runners turning in sub-nine minute laps. The #99 Audi of Biela/Fassler/Kaffer/Hennerici has got back into the lead as we head towards two o'clock pursued by the #9 Porsche of Bergmeister/Lietz/Holzer/Ragginger only some .2 of a second adrift on lap 71. The Hybrid Porsche is certainly making a strong impression in the difficult discipline of long-distance racing. The car is being driven on the limit.
The #2 Audi of Abt/Collard/Luhr/Mies is keeping a watching brief in third. The remarkable run of the Farnbacher Ferrari continues in fourth place with the BMWs, #25 and #78, rounding out the top six. RLT.
