The Peugeot of Stéphane Sarrazin, car #8, has taken pole position in final qualifying in a time of 3.22.888, defeating the best efforts of Tom Kristensen in the #1 Audi.
The #39 Lola-Mazda has qualified in tenth place in the LMP2 class. The qualifying time was set by Hideki Noda in 3:53.072.
