Before the two hour mark Hideki Noda pitted with an exploded rear tyre and the KSM team changed the tyre and fixed the rear bodywork. Shortly after Matthew Marsh took over the controls of the #39 KMS Lola-Mazda, the car developed a problem with the throttle cable, and after running slow laps the car was wheeled into the pit garage. The car is now back on track during another safety car period at 2½ hours, running some way back from the class leader.
Update: The car is now running in 37th position.
Update: With 2½ hours left to run, in this six-hour race, car #39 is still running in 37th position, with Matthew Marsh at the wheel.
Update: With 2¼ hours left in the Spa 1000km sports car race Matthew Marsh has hauled the #39 Lola-Mazda up to 36th position on 77 laps. He is tenth in the LMP2 class.
Update: Safety car period with a little over two hours put Matthew Marsh within striking distance of two other cars - he has passed the #41 Zytek of Ojjeh and has his sights on the #94 Porsche of Paltalla. He is now running 35th.
Update: Matthew Marsh up to 34th position on Lap 83.
Update: Francesco Sini in car #39 with 1¾ hours left to run.
Update: With less than 1½ hours left to run Sini is running in 34th place and catching the Ferraris of Bamford and Vergers. Ninth in LMP2.
